Subaru Ascent Among ‘Best New Cars for 2019’

Subscribe NowSubaru of America Inc. announced today the 2019 Ascent has earned a spot on Autotrader’s list of Best New Cars for 2019. The Ascent, produced in Lafayette, was praised for comfort, features, build and ride quality and value.
To be recognized, each vehicle was agreed upon unanimously by the entire editorial and data team at Autotrader, the company says. Vehicles were the current or next model-year and available for purchase at the time of the awards announcement, to be considered.
In 2017, Subaru of Indiana Automotive announced the automaker would invest $140 million into production of the Ascent in Indiana. The company has more than 5,600 associates in Lafayette.
The plant is the only North American producer of Subarus, and has experienced major growth over the last four-plus years.
