CBRE | Sturges, which became affiliated with the global brand more than 20 years ago, will become Sturges Property Group at the end of this month. The firm was founded in 1975 and bills itself as largest full-service commercial and industrial real estate firm in the region.
The shift, Sturges says, will "better serve the modern state of the industry." Both parties say the end of the affiliation agreement was mutual and that they will continue collaboration on in-progress assignments.
Chief Executive Officer Barry Sturges says "our company has always been independently owned, so this transition will have minimal impact on the ways we do business. Our signs and our logo have changed, but our ownership and our highly-skilled and dedicated employees remain the same."
President Brad Sturges says the decision to transition to an independent firm will boost flexibility, control over its digital presence and regional growth. "Additionally, it allows us to further integrate our sister companies, Maintenance Management, Sturges Development, and Nexus Technology Partners," he added. "We are always looking for ways to improve how we serve our brokerage and property management clients, and our relationship-driven style is better suited to being a fully independent firm."
