Student-Run Record Label Names First Artist

The University of Saint Francis has announced the first artist for its student-run record label. Local band Rosalind & the Way will be the first to record for Marble Lounge Records and their album is set to be released in April.
The record label launched in September as part of USF’s Media Entrepreneurship Training in the Arts, or META, and Music Technology programs. The band will have their music recorded by USF music technology students at USF’s recording studios.
The university says the META students spent the fall semester creating the business foundations for the record label and are using the current semester to produce and promote the Rosalind & the Way album. Students in both programs will continue to learn about various aspects of the music business, including legal issues such as copyright and licensing.
USF says Marble Lounge Records will host an album release party in April. You can learn more about Rosalind & the Way by clicking here.
