Stonehenge Golf Club Relaunch Progressing

The relaunch of Stonehenge Golf Club continues as the Winona Lake Town Council works to fund the acquisition of real estate. The Town Council held a special meeting last week to establish a revolving loan fund to help purchase the land.
“The Town of Winona Lake has identified the area near Stonehenge as a focus of future commercial and residential development,” said Town Manager Craig Allebach, “We realize the importance of preparing for future population growth by offering amenities that add to the quality of life in our community.”
The Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation recently formed a separate, nonprofit entity, the Kosciusko Community Development Corporation, to help with the relaunch. The KCDC will enter into a lease agreement with 28FIFTY Management, led by golf professional Denny Hepler, to operate the course and to sell the clubhouse to an entity planning on redeveloping the building into a multi-tenant space.
“We look forward to continuing the tradition of Stonehenge Golf Club as one of the premier golf courses in the state of Indiana,” said Hepler, “The response so far has been overwhelming and we are on track to meet or exceed our goals for the operation.”
