The chief executive officer of Carmel-based SteadyServ Technologies LLC says the beer inventory management company will use a $5.5 million infusion to continue growth in the U.S. and abroad. Steve Hershberger says the company plans to bolster its existing presence in markets outside of Indiana, including Ohio, Michigan, Texas, Minnesota and North Carolina and work its way into Southern California, Phoenix, Canada and the United Kingdom. Hershberger says the company is also having discussions concerning the use of its iKeg technology with two brewers that have a “significant” presence in Brazil.

In 2013, the company announced plans to employ up to 100 people by throughout the world by 2016. Hershberger says the company is currently “in the ball park” with those numbers.

That year, the company racked up two separate investments totaling $6.5 million.

Hershberger adds the company maintains its biggest presence in Indiana because of the talent pool and expertise available from schools such as IUPUI, Purdue University and Rose-Hulman, as well as former employees of other players on the Hoosier tech scene.
