State Revenue Exceeds Projections in January

Subscribe NowThe Indiana State Budget Agency says the state’s General Fund revenues in January totaled $1.8 billion, which is nearly 16% above the December revenue forecast and nearly 15% above actual revenue in January 2020.
The agency says monthly collections from sales tax, individual income taxes and corporate adjusted gross income tax came in better than expected and above prior year actuals.
Riverboat wagering collections totaled approximately $26 million for January, which is nearly $3 million above the monthly estimate but $4 million below revenue during the same period a year ago.
Racino wagering collections totaled nearly $10 million for January, which is $1 million below the monthly estimate and $2.3 million below revenue in January 2020.
