According to officials, the strategy aims to “triple the federal defense investment by 2025, initiated by Governor Eric Holcomb.”
The 21st Century Defense Ecosystem is an integrated digital platform. The system was created to support Indiana businesses and customers in the defense sector.
The platform includes a defense-compliant acquisition program that helps businesses secure and carry out government contracts.
It aims to fuel startup growth and technological development while supporting the U.S. Defense Strategy state, regional and national levels.
“The NDIA Greater Indiana Chapter plays a vital role in bringing together members of the defense industry in a collaborative environment,” said National Defense Industrial Association Greater Indiana Chapter President, Rachel Leslie. “Recently, the Indiana Chapter has embarked on creating additional relevancy to its members including aligning with the state strategy to increase Indiana’s role in the defense marketplace.
The event was hosted by the Indiana Economic Development Corp., Indianapolis Business Journal and the NDIA Greater Indiana Chapter and attracted leaders at the state and national levels to Indianapolis.
