The Indiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center in the Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship has named Shane Springer director. Most recently, he served as the organization's coordinator. October 10, 2014

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Shane Springer has been named State Director of the Indiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) in the Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (OSBE).

The PTAC staff assists businesses interested in contracting to provide goods or services to federal, state and local government agencies

In announcing the appointment, Jacob Schpok, director of OSBE, noted, “Shane’s military background and passion for public service make him an excellent choice to head PTAC.

He is eager to help small business through the government agencies’ procurement policies and procedures that can be intimidating. In its brief history, we have seen how PTAC can be another tool to assist the small businesses grow by successfully competing in the government marketplace.”

Shane Springer is a native Hoosier and a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in training soldiers for desert warfare. He served in Iraq in 2005. After leaving the Army he moved to Bloomington and graduated from Indiana University.

Most recently he served as the Program Coordinator for Indiana PTAC following four years on the staff of the Indiana General Assembly.
