The Indiana Gaming Commission says monthly casino revenue decreased in March. The agency says adjusted gross revenue last month dropped to $209 million, compared to more than $232 million during the same period a year earlier. As with last month, Hoosier Park Racing and Casino in Anderson and Indiana Grand Racing and Casino in Shelbyville were the only two of the state's 13 venues reporting increases. Racinos can take an 8.5 percent state-approved deduction.

Horseshoe Casino Hammond's adjusted gross revenue of $43.3 million in March is down from more than $47.4 million during the same period in 2012. Horseshoe Southern Indiana's revenue decreased $22 million, from $23.6 million.

Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg took in over $18.2 million in revenue last month, compared to $28.8 million in March 2013.

The two other casinos in the area have also felt the affects of Horseshoe Cincinnati opening in March 2013. Rising Star in Rising Sun reported $4.6 million in adjusted gross revenue last month, which was down from $6.8 million one year ago. Belterra Casino in Florence was down to $9.2 million, compared to more than $12 million.
