State Details 600+ New Jobs, Year-End Numbers
Seventeen companies have unveiled expansion plans expected to create nearly 650 high-wage jobs throughout the state. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says the announcements top off a year that included commitments from 323 companies, totaling more than 26,000 new jobs.
The IEDC says this year’s expansions include more than $4.7 billion in investment. The 26,555 positions are expected to pay an average hourly wage of $24.87, which is more than 14 percent higher than last year and higher than the current state and national average wages. The organization says the state landed commitments from 59 tech companies, which is an increase of more than 150 percent from 2014. The jobs involved in today’s announcements are projected to pay an average annual salary of more than $82,000.
Today’s announcements include:
AgReliant Genetics, which is investing more than $6 million to expand its Westfield headquarters and adding up to 24 jobs by 2023.
Balance Digital Marketing, which is doubling its office space in downtown Indianapolis and adding 36 jobs by 2024.
Creative Solutions Consulting, which is expanding its Indianapolis headquarters and adding up to 57 jobs by 2020.
DK Pierce, a biopharmaceuticals and medical technologies consulting firm, which is investing nearly $4 million to grow its Zionsville headquarters and adding 23 jobs by 2019.
Emmis Communications (Nasdaq: EMMS), which is investing more than $6 million to expand its NextRadio and Digonex subsidiaries and adding 55 jobs by 2024.
Level Up Development, a custom software application development company, which is doubling its office space in Indianapolis and adding up to 24 jobs by 2018.
LifeShare Technologies, which is growing its Shelbyville operations and adding up to 24 jobs by 2021.
Mediaura, which is relocating operations from Louisville to Jeffersonville and adding up to 30 jobs by 2018.
Microbide, an Ireland-based chemical company, which is investing nearly $2 million to establish its North American headquarters in Evansville and creating up to 18 jobs by 2018.
MorphoTrust USA, a Massachusetts-based credentialing provider, which is investing more than $6 million to expand its Fort Wayne operations and adding up to 20 jobs by 2019.
One View, an Indianapolis-based software company, which is adding up to 34 jobs by 2020.
Performance Assessment Network, which is investing more than $2 million to grow its Carmel operations and adding up to 20 jobs by 2019.
Pondurance, which is growing its central Indiana operations and adding up to 65 jobs by 2023.
Sells Group, a digital marketing firm, will consolidate its operations into a downtown Indianapolis office and up to 65 jobs.
STLogics, which is expanding its Indianapolis headquarters and creating more than 100 jobs by 2024.
Thieneman Construction, an environmental services firm, which is investing more than $4 million to build a new Westfield headquarters and adding up to 26 jobs by 2020.
Vertical Edge Consulting Group, which is expanding its Indianapolis operations and creating up to 25 jobs by 2020.
