Fort Wayne-based STAR Financial Bank has promoted Gavin Mohr to chief financial officer. He has 10 years of banking experience and most recently held the position of vice president and treasurer at STAR. Mohr previously held similar roles at both Yadkin Bank in Raleigh, North Carolina and Tower Bank in Fort Wayne. He will oversee the bank’s accounting, asset and liability management, treasury functions, capital planning and the execution of STAR’s short and long-term strategic plan. Mohr holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Miami University of Ohio and will complete his Master of Business Administration at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne this summer. He replaces Karen Gregerson who was recently named CEO at a Central Indiana community bank.
