STAR Financial Bank Makes Promotions

Throughout his 10 year career at STAR, he has held various titles, including: senior commercial loan officer, regional senior commercial banker and most recently, senior credit officer/portfolio manager. Goldman will replace Bill Wingrove, who is retiring after 43 years. Goldman is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University. The bank has also promoted Mike Wallace to senior vice president of retail banking from vice president of mortgage banking. He has led the mortgage team, increasing production year over year, in his nearly four years at STAR. In his new role, Wallace will oversee sales within STAR’s retail branch network, STAR Mortgage and STAR Investment Services. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the IU Kelley School of Business in Business Management and is currently in his first year at the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania. He earned the Accredited Mortgage Professional designation through a three year program at the MBA’s School of Mortgage Banking in the summer of 2015. Wallace serves as an executive board member of Junior Achievement of Northeast Indiana, as well as serving on the board for the Mad Anthony Children’s Foundation and the Northeast Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association.
