News Release

Connersville, Ind. — Stant Corporation, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of vapor management systems, fuel delivery systems and thermal management systems, and a provider of other engineering services, has announced that after several months of negotiations with the States of Illinois, Michigan, and surrounding areas, it has entered into second-round negotiations with the State of Michigan for relocation of its corporate headquarters and related manufacturing.

“While no final decision has been made, Stant is excited about the possibilities and pro-business atmosphere demonstrated by the State of Michigan,” said Curt S. Howell, President & CEO.

According to the Detroit Regional Chamber, 12 original equipment manufacturer (OEM) assembly plants and 35 OEM component plants are located in Michigan. Including suppliers, there are nearly 1,300 automotive-related manufacturing establishments in Michigan.

“Michigan has long been considered the birthplace and home of the automotive industry. The impact of Michigan’s overall automotive economy and the potential benefits of Stant headquarter relocation to improve our proximity to our existing customer base can’t be understated,” added Howell.
