Stand for Children Indiana has named David Patterson marketing & communications director. He joins the organization with 20 years of experience in marketing, communications and public affairs. Patterson most recently served as central region communications manager at the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees International Union. Prior to that, he served as an account manager at Creative Street Media Group and as senior editor for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters International Union.

Stand Indiana works to ensure a quality education for all children. Through parent engagement and organizing, Stand helps empower families and community members to stand up for improving struggling schools and pushing for policies that lead to greater achievement in the classroom.
