St. Vincent Opens Plainfield Hospital

St. Vincent Health is celebrating the opening of its third neighborhood hospital in central Indiana. The health system says the Plainfield facility will give patients access to care closer to their homes with shorter wait times.
The 17,000-square-foot hospital includes seven emergency beds, eight inpatient beds, imaging and lab services, and a pharmacy. St. Vincent says patients can expect to be seen by an emergency physician within 15 minutes of arriving.
St. Vincent tells Inside INdiana Business the hospital employs about 50 people. The health system did not state how much it has invested in the facility.
The health system opened its first neighborhood hospital last year in Noblesville. A second location in Avon opened last month. St. Vincent says additional facilities in Indianapolis and Greenwood are slated to open "within the next few weeks."
