Indianapolis, Ind. — St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital officials publicly announced Erica Wehrmeister as the health ministry's new chief operating officer, effective June 30, 2014.

For the past three years, Wehrmeister was executive vice president and chief operating officer at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Prior to her position at Lutheran Hospital, she held chief operating officer and assistant chief executive officer roles at Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne. Wehrmeister will report directly to Kyle DeFur, president of St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital.

“Erica is a dynamic, goal-oriented and decisive leader with a history of innovation and achievement in hospital and clinical operations,” said DeFur.

“Through her extensive experience, she has continually demonstrated the ability to set her vision and produce optimal results, which will be integral in our changing healthcare environment. Erica will be an outstanding addition to our team.”
