St. Joseph Hospital Appoints CNO

LaCrystal Gordon has been promoted to chief nursing officer at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne. She previously served as the assistant chief nursing officer. Gordon has been with the hospital since April 2015. Prior to joining the administrative team, her 10-year work history included serving as patient experience director and a nurse manager for the medical surgical and renal units at Lutheran Hospital. Gordon also worked as a charge nurse and department education coordinator. She attained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Western Governors University in 2015 and 2016, respectively. Gordon began her healthcare pursuit when she earned a practical nursing certificate and an associate degree in nursing from Ivy Tech Community College in 2008. Before that, she received an undergraduate degree from Indiana State University in 2004. Gordon currently participates as a member of the 2016-2017 Leadership Fort Wayne class. Additionally, she was recognized as a Lutheran Leader in 2014 and she received a Service Excellence Award in 2012.
