Nina Stur has been promoted to chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services at East Chicago-based St. Catherine Hospital. She has served in an interim role since January.

Stur began her career as a registered nurse in the medical surgical unit at the hospital 37 years ago. She was promoted to director of nursing and nurse clinician in 1990. In 1993, Stur became clinical case manager, serving as a consultant to physicians on diagnoses and to patients and families on discharge planning, medical reviews and excellence in healthcare.

Most recently she served as director of case management and associate director patient care services. Stur held each of those positions for 10 years.
