(Nasdaq: ESCA) is reporting second quarter net income of $8.1 million, compared to $8.7 million during the same period a year ago. For the first six months of the year, net income registered at $13.5 million, compared to $10.6 million the previous year.
Chief Executive Officer Walter Glazer says the company posted quarterly revenue of nearly $100 million, up 19% over the prior year.
“Second quarter results reflect strong demand for our products, offset by sharply higher raw material costs, increased wage pressure, and inventory handling costs. Global supply chain issues persist as our logistics team works to keep goods flowing to our customers,” said Walter P. Glazer, Jr., interim president and CEO of Escalade, Inc.
