Speedway’s Main Street revitalization earned the top honor at Thursday’s annual Monumental Awards gala. The Indy Chamber event honors individuals and businesses in areas including architecture, real estate development and neighborhood revitalization.
In June, Speedway Town Manager Ian Nicolini said the revitalization effort is focused on the community being defined by "more than a day in May." The $100 million in economic development taking place includes upgrades to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, multiple racing team headquarters and emerging businesses like Big Woods Brewing Co.
