Blasdel previously worked for the AES Corp., the parent company of Indianapolis Power & Light. At AES, he supported utility and power plant construction and refinancing transactions, navigating local land use laws, engineering requirements, and budget forecasting. Blasdel has also been responsible for cash management of assigned power plants and utilities, debt management and compliance, and bank and rating agency performance updates. He has spent his career focusing on infrastructure finance in the public and private sectors. From 2008-2012, Blasdel served in former Governor Mitch Daniels’ administration, where he worked in both the Office of Management and Budget and the Indiana Finance Authority. Among the agencies he was responsible for at OMB included the state’s Department of Transportation and Family and Social Services Administration. He also helped monitor performance metrics for state government operations and federal grants. While at the Indiana Finance Authority, Blasdel gained valuable experience working on the $675 million Ohio Bridges East End Crossing Project, which was named the “2013 Deal of the Year” by The Bond Buyer. He is a graduate of DePauw University and earned his MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Blasdel has been involved in the community, serving as the treasurer of the Speedway Community Development Corp. since 2014.
