Wagner Business of the Year. The company, which has been in business since the 1930s, was among six recipients of the chamber’s annual awards.
D-Patrick, which employs 365 workers, owns seven car dealerships, four parts and service departments, four body shops and a corporate office. The chamber recognized the company for its annual golf and tennis championship fundraisers, which has raised more than $100,000 for local charities.
The remaining award recipients include:
- 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year: Jim Spann, owner of New Harmony Soap Co.
- 2016 Nonprofit of the Year: Aurora Inc.
- 2016 Volunteer of the Year: Barry Cox, president and chief operating officer of Mount Vernon-based Warehouse Services Inc.
- 2016 Small Business of the Year: Thyme in the Kitchen
- 2016 Richard A. Schlottman Business Person of the Year: Glen Dunkerson, chief executive officer of Evansville-based Atlas World Group
