South Bend Complex to Host National Tourneys

Visit South Bend Mishawaka says, in all, about 100 teams will come to the city, generating more than $400,000 in economic impact.
The Amateur Softball Association will hold its Men’s Major Fast Pitch national Championship over the next two years at the complex. The organization will also bring its Co-Ed Class C/D Slow Pitch National Championship in 2017 and the Northern Men’s Class E Slow Pitch National Championship in 2018.
"These tournaments will bring great softball action to South Bend and they are a testament to the quality of sports facilities in the area," said Meghan Huff, with Visit South Bend Mishawaka. "Byers [Softball Complex] is a great venue for these national softball tournaments to be played."
The ASA Major Fast Pitch National Championships will take place August 3-6, 2017 and August 2-5, 2018. The Co-Ed Class C/D Slow Pitch National Championship will take place August 25-27, 2017 and the Northern Men’s Class E Slow Pitch National Championship will be played August 24-26, 2018.
Byers Softball Complex hosted the International Softball Congress World Fastball Tournament in 2015.
