South Bend-based GTA Containers Inc. is sharing in a $47 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense. The deal calls for the production of tank fabrication berm liners for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force.

Companies from Illinois, New York, Mississippi and Texas have also been contracted for the work, which is expected to be complete in March 2024. The deals are one-year base contracts with four, one-year option periods.

The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia is the contracting activity.
