South Bend Company Awarded Military Contract

South Bend Company Awarded Military Contract GTA Containers is headquartered in South Bend.

The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded a multi-million dollar contract to South Bend-based GTA Container Inc. The contract, totaling more than $36 million, calls for the production of collapsible fuel storage tank assemblies.

The DOD awarded a similar contract worth more than $30 million to Texas-based North American Fuel Tanks Inc. Work on both five-year contracts will take place in Indiana and Texas and is expected to be complete in March 2023.

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime in Michigan is the contracting activity.
