Our partners at WEHT-TV report the Princeton Planning Commission voted 4-1 to deny rezoning for the 280-megawatt farm.
The Gibson Solar project, which was first announced in February, is the second solar project in the county under development by Nebraska-based Tenaska.
While the plan commission’s vote serves as a deterrent, WEHT reports the Princeton Common Council has the final decision and the request could be introduced next month.
