Solar Farm a Go in Greenfield

A $4 million solar power farm in Greenfield is moving forward. The Greenfield Daily Reporter says the city has approved the sale of 17 acres to the Carmel-based Indiana Municipal Power Agency to serve as the location of the more than 11,000 panels.
The city received $170,000 for the property. The publication says the farm is the second large-scale solar project launched in Hancock County over the last year. It follows a 230-panel farm from Greenfield-based NineStar Connect.
Construction could begin in May.The Daily Reporter says the IMPA project is expected to generate enough energy to power 500 homes.
