Solar Company Expanding to Indiana

North Carolina-based POWERHOME Solar has announced plans to expand to Indiana. The company, which specializes in solar energy and roofing services, says it will add up to 100 jobs at its Indianapolis-based office.
POWERHOME designs, permits, sells, finances, installs, maintains and monitors solar energy systems and panels for both residential and commercial applications. The company says it is looking to hire for a variety of positions, including sales, installation and administrative functions.
POWERHOME will host a job fair March 19-21 in an effort to fill the new jobs. It will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 4496 Saguro Trail in Indianapolis. Those interested in the jobs are being encouraged to contact the company by clicking here.
The company says it uses American-made solar panels from a manufacturer of Washington, each of which can generate about 36 kWh per month. A basic home installation, according to the company, will reduce grid energy consumption by 60-80 percent.
