A California-based custom software company has opened a second location in the Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette. Mighty Ant DataWorks Inc. says it hopes to benefit from a growing network of startup companies that are established through research based at Purdue.

Glenn Smith, president and chief software architect for Mighty Ant DataWorks, says the company performs advanced web development for startups and established companies, such as Adidas, Gatorade and Walt Disney Animation Studios. "We also do work group automation, letting companies grow without the need to hire additional employees."

The company says the new location will serve the Indianapolis and Chicago markets, in addition to Purdue University and the Purdue startup scene.

Mighty Ant DataWorks was formed in 1989 in Pasadena, California. The company did not disclose an investment total for the new location and also did not state whether any new jobs would be added.
