INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Thursday, November 21, 2013 Stark ReAlity Enterprises, Inc. and Yuspie, LLC are teaming up to sponsor a half-day Unconference to promote social media usage among women — not only as a viable career choice, but also as a tool to make the world a better place.

“Amy and I had multiple conversations online and offline about the lack of women in social media, particularly in Indiana, so we wanted to team up and celebrate the amazing, albeit few women already leveraging social media for brands and businesses in Indiana and beyond in an effort to inspire and encourage other women to grow their social media presence,” according to Erin Albert, CEO of Yuspie, LLC.

“Throughout recorded history the collective voice of our species has been masculine,” Amy Stark points out, “but we're in the midst of a communication paradigm shift when women have an opportunity to be just as vocal as men, and even lead discussions that will affect our future. Social media not only provides women with careers to support themselves and their families, but it also gives them an opportunity to hone the skills required to spread digital messages efficiently. Wouldn't it be interesting to learn the effect on our planet if our collective voice took on a more feminine tone?”

Albert and Stark have also formed an advisory council for this inaugural event, consisting of other prominent women in social media, including: Lorraine Ball of Roundpeg, Tiffany Benedict Berkson of Historic Indianapolis, Dana M. Nelson, Social Strategist and Teacher from Evansville, and Crystal Grave of Snappening.

The Inaugural Social Media Dames Unconference will take place at an Indianapolis and Indiana Certified WBE — Miles Printing, 4923 W 78th, 46268. It will begin at 10 a.m. EST, conclude at 3 p.m., and will feature 18 influential women sharing short stories that contain valuable lessons on how to leverage the power of social media. Attendees will gain insider knowledge on how to spread digital messages to the greatest number of people using various social media. Example platforms highlighted in these stories include: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, among others.

Early registration is $30.00 per ticket, which includes lunch and the half-day educational event, and may be purchased via Eventbrite: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/5046291594/eorg.
