Ellettsville-based Smithville has selected Paul Quick as its new president. Quick most recently served as vice president of commercial sales in nine states for Connecticut-based Frontier Communications (Nasdaq: FTR).

Quick will officially serve as president of Smithville Communications Inc. and Smithville Telecom LLC, according to Smithville Chief Executive Officer Darby McCarty. Smithville says Quick will oversee all facets of the company’s residential and commercial operations.

"We at Smithville are pleased and excited to have a top professional of Paul’s caliber to provide strategic leadership for our company," McCarty said in a news release. "Paul’s executive experience spans the entire spectrum of the telecommunications industry, from product development and operations to management and construction to sales and marketing. We are confident that Paul will help us enhance and improve our already strong commitment to our customers."

Prior to joining Frontier, Quick held executive roles at Pennsylvania-based Paper Magic Group and Hallmark Cards in Missouri.

Quick will appear this weekend on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick. You can find out when the show will air in your area by clicking here.
