A well-known Chicagoland shopping center has reopened after a multi-million dollar upgrade by its owner, Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group Inc. (NYSE: SPG). On top of renovations to the Chicago Premium Outlets, the developer says a "slew of high-profile retailers" will locate to the Aurora property by the end of the year.
Planned new shops include Versace, Salomon, Victoria’s Secret, Restoration Hardware, Steve Madden and Hanna Andersson, which could all be open before December.
Simon Premium Outlets Executive Vice President of Real Estate Danielle De Vita says "Chicago Premium Outlets is not only the largest and most successful outlet center in the Chicago market, it is also quickly becoming a crown jewel of our global portfolio, offering unparalleled value and selection for local shoppers, regional bargain-hunters and international tourists alike."
The center includes 170 stores, covering 688,000 square-feet. It was expanded last August.
