Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group Inc. (NYSE: SPG) has announced the beta launch of a new online outlet shopping platform designed to drive sales online and in the stores of participating retailers. Chief Executive Officer David Simon says the company is currently testing Shop Premium Outlets with nearly 2,000 brands and more than 300,000 products.
SPO will enable the highly engaged Premium Outlets customer base to shop 24/7 for their favorite fashion, luxury and lifestyle brands, all in one place, up to 65 percent off every day.
Simon’s pre-established customer base means it’s uniquely positioned to overcome the typical customer acquisition challenges in the e-commerce space.
"We’re excited to announce our new fifth platform, SPO, and we’re currently in the early stages of beta-testing with our VIP Shopper Club.
