SIMBA Chain, a blockchain startup, has hired Matthew Shroyer as head of Legal and Operations. Shroyer is tasked with building out the company’s legal framework and ensuring it has the structure, policies, and procedures in place to accommodate rapid growth of the company and adoption of its blockchain as a service solution. He formerly was a litigation attorney in New York City, specializing in white-collar crimes. Shroyer also founded a non-government organization in Greece that provides humanitarian legal aid to empower refugees in the asylum process. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
