Shopko Stores Operating Co. LLC is planning to close a distribution center in Lebanon. In a notice to the state, the Wisconsin-based retailer says the move will affect more than 70 workers. The move also includes nearly two dozen that have been with the company for less than six months.

Shopko expects to begin letting employees go mid-January. It plans to keep some employees on through September to help wind down operations.

You can view the company's letter to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development by clicking here.

The company is owned by Florida-based Sun Capital Partners Inc. The Shopko website says it employs more than 18,000.
