Shoe Carnival names new CFO

Edwards had previously served as the company’s chief accounting officer and secretary since 2021 and as vice president and controller since 2019.
In addition to CFO, Edwards’ title includes the roles of senior vice president, secretary and treasurer. His appointment is effective immediately.
“Patrick has been a significant contributor to our success since joining Shoe Carnival in 2019,” CEO Mark Worden said in a news release. “I am very pleased that he has agreed to expand his role and I am confident that he will continue to add incredible value as we move forward in executing our strategy to grow the business and drive shareholder value.”
Prior to joining Shoe Carnival, Edwards held multiple finance and accounting roles at Vectren Corp., now CenterPoint Energy Inc. He also worked in public accounting for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Edwards succeeds Erik Gast as SVP, CFO and treasurer. Shoe Carnival said the company and Gast mutually agreed that Gast would leave the company to pursue other opportunities.
Outside of Shoe Carnival, Edwards serves as treasurer of Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana, is on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Evansville, and is a member of the University of Southern Indiana Accounting Circle.
