The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a job and career fair Wednesday in Shelbyville. The event will feature more than 35 companies looking to fill more than 300 positions.
The job and career fair will run from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Shelbyville High School gymnasium and is free and open to the public. The event will be kicked off with a networking luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. that will feature remarks from Shelbyville Mayor Tom DeBaun and Shelby County Development Corporation Executive Director Brian Asher.
Some of the companies taking part in the job and career fair include Allison Transmission Inc. (NYSE: ALSN), Community Health Network, Indiana Grand Racing and Casino and Venture Logistics.
