The Indianapolis Airport Authority Board will Friday vote on contracts to bring several new food and beverage vendors to the Indianapolis International Airport. The new concessions offerings will include national brands such as Shake Shack and local favorites Sun King Brewing Co. and Ben’s Soft Pretzels.
The additions are part of the airport’s Concessions Refresh initiative, which launched in 2016 in an effort to create more of a "sense of place" at the airport with a greater local focus among vendors. The new offerings, pending approval from the board, will include:
- Sun King Brewery (Indianapolis)
- Farmer’s Market – featuring Indiana-made products
- Bento Sushi (Ontario, Canada)
- Bub’s Burgers (Carmel)
- Hot Box Pizza (Indianapolis)
- Indiana Pacers Courtside Club (Indianapolis)
- Circle City Beer Garden
- Social Cantina (Bloomington)
- Tinker Coffee (Indianapolis)
- Stacked Pickle (Indianapolis)
- Shake Shack (New York)
- Ben’s Soft Pretzels (Goshen)
The board will also vote to keep Harry & Izzy’s and Starbucks at the airport.
The IAA says HMS Host will operate the 745-square-foot Shake Shack location on a 10-year lease, which will generate an estimated $3.5 million in revenue for the airport. The total estimated revenue from all of the vendors over the course of their leases is approximately $36 million.
Friday’s vote comes two months after the board approved new contracts for several retail and service vendors at the airport.
