Ed Dahm, who joined his brother Joe in running Indiana’s first automatic car wash business in 1950, received many business honors throughout his life, including the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 1999. He died Thursday at the age of 86.
Visitations will be held Tuesday in Fort Wayne and a Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday.
Dahm is a member of the Greater Fort Wayne Business Hall of Fame. The company he helped found more than 65 years ago has grown into Mike’s and Crew locations employing hundreds of associates at dozens of locations in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Dahm was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne and attended Indiana University for two years before joining Joe in the family business.
