SerVaas Labs Looking to Expand

The Metropolitan Development Commission in Indianapolis will consider preliminary tax abatement approvals for SerVaas Laboratories Inc. The company, which makes household cleaning products, is looking to expand its Indy facility to allow for additional production and warehouse operations.
SerVaas says it will invest $3.6 million to build and equip the 20,000 square-foot expansion. If approved, the company says it will retain 54 jobs and create six more by 2017.
The company says if it is not able to expand on its current facility, it would consider relocating some operations to areas closer to suppliers in Fremont, as well as Ohio and Kentucky.
The Metropolitan Development Commission will consider the two, four-year abatement requests at its meeting Wednesday.
