Senate Approves Pre-K Expansion Bill

Subscribe NowThe Indiana Senate has passed its version of a bill to provide more funding for the state’s prekindergarten program. Senate Bill 276 would provide an additional $4 million, which is lower than the $10 million increase requested by Governor Eric Holcomb.
The Indiana House has already passed a bill to expand the program to five additional counties. Currently, the On My Way Pre-K program serves nearly 2,300 low-income students in Allen, Lake, Marion, Jackson and Vanderburgh counties. It is unclear which counties would be added to the program, if approved.
