Following the press conference, Tyson will meet for a discussion with IPFW physics students. If you are interested in covering his meeting with students, please speak with John Kaufeld at the press conference for details.

On Tuesday evening, Tyson will give his Omnibus lecture at 7:30 p.m. in the Rhinehart Music Center. His presentation is titled “This Just In: Latest Discoveries in the Universe.”

All tickets for the event were claimed within the first 45 minutes they were available, which was a new record for the Omnibus Lecture series. To accommodate as many people as possible, IPFW added an “overflow room” which will display a live video feed of the lecture. All tickets for the overflow room were claimed by people on the box office waiting list.

There will be a stand-by line on the night of the presentation for patrons who were not able to get tickets for this lecture. Patrons in the stand-by line will be seated on an as-available basis.
