Our partners at WTHI-TV report Saturn Petcare is no longer moving into the former Kellogg’s plant in Seelyville, but rather the former Pfizer building in the southern portion of the county.
In March, the Seelyville Town Council approved a 10-year tax abatement for Saturn to set up shop at the Kellogg’s plant, however officials say the deal fell through after Kellogg’s and Saturn could not come to terms on a purchase agreement for the facility.
Saturn is now looking to move into the former Pfizer building, bringing 200 jobs to the area over the next several years. It’s not known if the company plans to construct a new facility on the property like it had for the Kellogg’s plant.
The Vigo County Council has given preliminary approval for a 10-year tax abatement at the Pfizer building. More discussion on the abatement will take place before final approval is given.
