Sanchez Joins Old National Management

Evansville-based Old National Bancorp (Nasdaq: ONB) has added Rafael Sanchez to its management team. Sanchez, who most recently served as chief executive officer of Indianapolis Power and Light Co., will join Old National as president of private banking.
Old National says in his new role, Sanchez will lead a team that "focuses on the unique needs of private banking clients" throughout the company’s five-state footprint. Sanchez is not a stranger to the banking industry; he began his career as a retail banker with National City Bank in Fort Wayne.
"We are incredibly excited that a leader of Rafael’s unique abilities is joining our organization," said Jim Sandgren, chief operating officer for Old National. "We are confident that empowering Rafael to focus exclusively on Private Banking will elevate Old National’s commitment to, and ability to serve, this important client base."
Sanchez joined IPL in February 2016 as vice president of strategic planning. He was promoted to president and CEO the following June.
