With 20 years of experience in the Salvation Army and a Master’s degree in organizational leadership, O’Neil said she hopes her leadership skills and expertise will be an asset to the area.
“I am passionate about telling others about Jesus, personal and professional development, and strategic planning,” O’Neil said in a news release. “I am looking forward to working alongside Indianapolis leaders and organizations to bring change and transformation into the lives we serve.”
Prior to this appointment, O’Neil served with The Salvation Army in Wisconsin at the Green Bay Kroc Center. Her husband, Major Matt O’Neil, is also joining the organization as divisional secretary for business at The Salvation Army Indiana Divisional Headquarters.
The Salvation Army of Central Indiana also welcomes Captains Aaron and Rachel Johnson, who have been appointed to serve at the Eagle Creek Corps Community Center on Indy’s west side. They previously led the Lafayette Corps Community Center in Tippecanoe County.
