Salin Bank Opens Prototype Branch

Indianapolis-based Salin Bank and Trust Co. has opened a prototype branch location in Kokomo. The branch features traditional banking services through the bank’s new interactive teller system, Salin Live Banker.
Salin Live Banker features video-based technology that allows customers to conduct normal banking transactions with a live teller based in Indiana, who controls the interactive video teller machine. Salin says the new feature will allow customers to complete 98 percent of the teller serves that can be done inside a branch.
The Salin Live Banker is available as a drive-up service and will be available past normal banking hours.
Salin Bank also announced the addition of its new communications center at the company’s downtown Kokomo location. Chief Executive Officer James Alender says the addition brings new jobs to Kokomo and will help Salin provide redundancy as part of its disaster recovery plan.
