Safety Organization to Dedicate Indy HQ

Subscribe NowAn international safety organization will Friday cut the ribbon on its new Indianapolis headquarters. The Board of Certified Safety Professionals has invested $5 million into the facility and added about 20 new jobs as a result.
The BCSP says it has about 20 other jobs were relocated to Indy from Champaign, Illinois. The facility covers 37,000 square feet and the organization says there is room add another 10,000 square feet, if needed.
The BCSP adds the new headquarters has room for 75 employees and it expects continued expansion in the future. The organization says its staff has doubled over the past five years.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be part of the International Labour Organization’s World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Speakers at the ceremony will include BCSP Chief Executive Officer Treasa Turnbeaugh and Indiana Department of Labor Commissioner Rick Ruble. The event is scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m.
