Safest states during the pandemic

Personal finance website WalletHub has ranked the safest states during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on its methodology, Indiana ranks near the bottom of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
WalletHub examined five metrics: vaccination rate, positive testing rate, hospitalization rate, death rate, and level of community transmission.
The website shows Indiana ranks 46th overall, but 48th in terms of vaccination rates.
According to various online trackers, 57% of Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated, compared to the national figure of 67%.
Vermont, North Carolina and Rhode Island are the top three safest states.
