RV Service Center Coming to Shipshewana The new RV service center will be located just southeast of the Shipshewana Trading Place RV campground.

The Shipshewana Trading Place is adding a new recreational vehicle service center. The LaGrange County Economic Development Corp. says plans call for the construction of a 17,500 square-foot building as part of a more than $1 million investment.

The project will create up to 15 jobs with an average wage of $42,000 per year. The Shipshewana Town Council has unanimously approved tax abatements for the project.

The new building will be called the Shipshewana Trading Place RV Service Center, located just southeast of the RV Campground. Part of the investment includes new state-of-the-art, high-tech equipment as well.

"We are very excited to receive approval from the Shipshewana Town Council for our abatement requests relating to our proposed service center," said Brian Lambright, director of operations at the Shipshewana Trading Place. "We are eager to get this project underway and strengthen our continued partnership with Shipshewana and LaGrange County. The primary factors that led to us locating this facility in LaGrange County and the Town of Shipshewana were the quality workforce, favorable business environment and commitment from the LaGrange County EDC to assist in bringing it to fruition.”

The project is expected to begin next week with the new facility being fully operational by August.
