The subsidiary of Elkhart-based Thor Industries Inc. (NYSE: THO) says it plans to hire between 250 and 300 workers to staff the new facilities in Goshen.
The facilities will cover a total of 200,000 square feet. Construction is being performed on an accelerated basis and Keystone RV expects the plants to be complete in the first half of 2017.
Keystone RV Chief Executive Officer Matt Zimmerman says new additions are the result of a strong growth in demand for its travel trailer and fifth wheel products. "To meet emerging demand, we have decided to approach our capacity needs in a way that ensures we can produce the high volumes the market demands while maintaining the high level of quality that Keystone is known for. This sizable investment in manufacturing capacity and in our people will help ensure that we are prepared to deliver the products our dealers need, when they need them, at the quality our customers expect."
The company is not disclosing an investment total for the new facilities. The additions bring Keystone RV’s total number of production and support facilities throughout the country to 40, including 32 in Indiana.
